AND WAIT GOES ON FOR MCBURNIE DEAL

SPORTING director Jared Dublin has opened up on Hull City's transfer interest in Jonjo Shelvey.

The former Liverpool and Newcastle United midfielder is training with the Tigers, having been released by Burnley at the end of the 2024-25 season.

Shelvey, who had spells in Turkey with Caykur Rizespor and Eyupspor before returning to England in the New Year, has been given the opportunity to train with City to build up his fitness ahead of the new campaign.

The 33-year-old only played four times for the Clarets in the second half of last season as Scott Parker's side secured automatic promotion.
