Leaders across political lines, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Wednesday extended New Year greetings to the nation.

In a post on X, PM Modi wrote, "May this year bring new opportunities, success and endless joy. May everybody be blessed with wonderful health and prosperity."
President Droupadi Murmu greeted people on New Year and asked them to renew their commitment to work together for a brighter and prosperous future.
