Man held for duping pilgrims with fake chopper bookings for Char Dham: Cops

DEHRADUN: The special task force of Uttarakhand police has arrested the alleged kingpin of a gang from Bihar that duped pilgrims across the country on the pretext of booking helicopter rides for the Char Dham pilgrimage

The task force has also shut down 41 fake websites offering tickets for helicopter rides for the Char Dham yatra.
The STF arrested Neeraj Kumar from Bihar, said Ayush Aggarwal, senior superintendent of police. "He used to dupe people by creating various fake websites, using mobile numbers, mobile handsets and bank accounts, showing himself as an employee of Pawan Hans Heli Service and establishing contact with the victims on WhatsApp and sending fake IDs," he said.
