Actor Mohit Malik, who reprises his role as a gay man in the second season of the web series Chamak, believes he has transcended his image as the "quintessential television actor" with this character.
"I have never seen myself as a 'star' on television, nor have I ever aspired to be one. Humesha se achcha actor banne ki koshish rahi hai," says Malik, adding, "When I met Rohit Jugraj (director) for Chamak, he asked me, 'You come from a television background — will you do this role because it is a gay character?'
