|November 07, 2025
The Gujarat high court on Thursday granted six-month interim bail to self-styled godman Asaram — who is serving a life sentence in a 2013 Gan-dhinagar rape case —on medical grounds, noting that the Rajast-han high court provided him similar relief in a separate 2013 rape case.

A division bench of justices Tlesh J Vora and RT Vachhani said the relief is limited to medical treatment and his convictions and life sentences remain in force.
