In the labyrinth where echoes of a bygone era linger like whispered secrets, percussionist Taufiq Qureshi traces the origins of his lineage rooted in Punjab. "I am a musician," he declares in a cadence that resonates his passion.

"My musical experience started when I was brought home from the hospital," he says narrating how the tabla became his constant companion, a source of solace and an inspiration.

His musical education extended far beyond the confines of his home. "When I was six, my legendary father, Ustad Allah Rakha, did an album with the famous (American) drummer, Buddy Rich," he recalls with reverence.
