BJP MLAs seek to rename Najafgarh, Mohammadpur

NEW DELHI: Three Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLAs on Thursday demanded the renaming of Delhi's Najafgarh as Nahargarh, Mohammadpur as Madhavpuram, and Mustafabad as Shiv Vihar.
Anil Sharma, who proposed renaming Mohammadpur in his constituency of RK Puram, said he will move a proposal in the House.
"Long ago, MCD passed a proposal to change the name of the village but the previous government did not take up the matter," he said.
