Govt Mulls Scooters to Meritorious College Women

The Yogi Adityanath government has made special provisions for women and labour welfare in the budget presented for the year 2025-26.
LUCKNOW:
The government is bringing a new scheme to provide two-wheelers to meritorious girl students pursuing higher education on the basis of eligibility. A budget of 400 crore is proposed to provide Scooties to meritorious girl students going to college under Rani Laxmi Bai Scooty Yojana.
To promote education of girls, along with the arrangement of co-education, activities like construction of girls' hostels, empowerment of girls, Meena Manch, self-defence training and sensitisation etc. are being carried out.
A residential school scheme is being run in 12 districts of the state, in which there is a provision to educate 100 boys and 100 girls in each school.
A provision of Rs 100 crore is proposed for the Chief Minister Saksham Suposhan Yojana.
Under the Matratv Shishu and Balika Madad Yojana, there are 6,22,974 beneficiaries till September, 2024. Under the Nirman Kamgar Death and Disability Assistance Scheme, there are 41,453 beneficiaries till September, 2024.
