RIMS director sacked for 'insubordination'

Jharkhand health minister Irfan Ansari has ordered the sacking of Dr Raj Kumar, the director of the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS)—the largest and only tertiary care hospital run by the state government—for insubordination, people familiar with the matter said on Friday.
RANCHI:
According to officials, a notification to this effect was issued on Thursday night after approval from chief minister Hemant Soren and the termination letter cited Dr. Kumar's failure to comply with decisions taken by the RIMS governing body and directions issued by the state government in the public interest as the reason for his removal.
