After 16 months of her brother Major Vikrant Jaitly’s (Retd) detainment in the UAE, actor Celina Jaitly has won a key legal directive from the Delhi High Court (HC) in her long-running bid to get him proper representation.

The HC on Tuesday ordered the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to issue an authorisation appointing Al Maree Partners, a Dubai-based law firm, to represent Vikrant in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The firm has agreed to take the case on a pro bono basis.
