RANCHI: AJSU central president Sudesh Mahto, speaking at the 'Foundation Day' function at Harivansh Tana Bhagat Stadium in Ranchi on Sunday, said his organisation endured years of struggle without seeking power during the statehood movement, unlike the ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), which he accused of bargaining with the cause.

"JMM bargained with the Jharkhand movement while AJSU struggled. AJSU struggled from 1986 to 2000 without making any MP or MLA," Mahto said. The AJSU party chief alleged that the Hemant Soren-led INDIA bloc government is engaged in corruption and gave a call to his party workers to root out the government.
