The Opposition Accused the Government of Buying Coal at Higher Rates to Benefit Private Companies

JAIPUR: Chaos prevailed in the state assembly on Monday with the Opposition targeting the government over the issue of purchasing expensive coal for power plants and the losses incurred by the power corporation. Leader of opposition Tikaram Jully and MLA Ramkesh Meena accused the government of purchasing coal at higher rates, thereby benefiting private companies and leading to massive financial losses for the power corporation.

During the question hour, Meena said, "Who is responsible for the losses in the power corporation? Coal was bought at exorbitant rates, benefiting a private company. This entire scam is being conducted in favor of the company. How long will you defend the company?"
