Revenue Dept Launches Probe In Irregularities In Jodhpur Case

A high-level investigation has been launched by the revenue department into the irregularities in sale of a land of a deceased person in Suthla village of Jodhpur district, Jodhpur district collector Gaurav Goyal said on Friday.

According to an official familiar with the matter, the deceased, Kirtaram, legally owned only 0.1342 hectares (approximately 1,342 square metres) in Khasra number 147/130. However, his heirs executed a sale deed transferring 0.5585 hectares (about 5,585 square meters) under the same Khasra on April 1.
