356 Heatstroke Cases Reported Since March

At least 356 heatstroke cases have been reported in Rajasthan since March 1 amid a soaring temperature, showed the data from the state health department.

"Last year, at least 6,000 cases were reported in the state during the same period with 17 casualties. However, no casualty has been reported this year so far. This has been possible only due to regular awareness programmes conducted by the department and by ensuring immediate response set-ups across the hospitals for the heatstroke cases," said Dr Narottam Sharma, the nodal officer of climate change in the health department.
