INDIA bloc batting for bogus voters, says NDA

The ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on Wednesday hit out at the INDIA bloc leaders for organising Bihar bandh against the Special Intensive Revision of the voter list and accused them of “doing politics of the shoulders of bogus voters”.

“They want to do politics on shoulders of wrongfully registered voters, while the Election Commission of India's decision is to revise the electoral rolls and chuck them out. People should vote only where they live and there is nothing wrong with that. Does the Opposition want wrongly registered voters to vote?” asked BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad while talking to mediapersons in Patna.

He said that Rahul Gandhi, Tejashwi Yadav and others were roaming on the streets and they can do that, but I want to draw the attention of the country to some important issues.

“In this country, MPs and MLAs are elected by only those who are the citizens of India. A voter should be above 18 years old and should live in the same place where he votes. I am the MP of Patna, I can't vote in Delhi because I'm not a voter there. So, if there is a revision of the voter list, then what is the problem?” he asked.
