Hospital director's murder case: Husband, his bro, 3 others arrested

Police on Tuesday claimed to have solved the mystery over the sensational murder of Surbhi Raj, aged 30, and director of a private nursing home on March 22, in Patna, with the arrest of her husband, his brother and three others.

"Preliminary investigation has revealed that Surbhi Raj's husband, Rakesh Roshan alias Chandan Singh, was having an extra marital affair with another woman working in the same hospital to which his wife had opposed. Her husband connived with his brother and other hospital staff to eliminate her. Other aspects are also being probed," said Patna senior superintendent of police (SSP) Avkash Kumar, adding that police were suspecting the role of the deceased's husband right from the day one.

As part of the investigation, police had detained Rakesh and a woman who also worked at the same hospital. Sources said Surbhi often opposed their relationship.
