Doctors Begin 3-Day OPD Strike in Govt Hospitals Across Bihar

Health services in different parts of the state were affected as the Bihar Health Service Association (BHSA) began a statewide three-day OPD boycott in government hospitals across the state on Thursday against biometric attendance, administrative harassment and neglect of their long-pending demands.

SASARAM: Health services in different parts of the state were affected as the Bihar Health Service Association (BHSA) began a statewide three-day OPD boycott in government hospitals across the state on Thursday against biometric attendance, administrative harassment and neglect of their long-pending demands.

The OPD boycott would continue till March 29.

Though emergency services have been kept out of the boycott, OPD patients were seen suffering and going to private hospitals and clinics. Twelve dog-bite patients, including Shiv Shankar Kumar from Nyayipur village, had to return from the community health center, Chausa in Buxar district.
