Bizman’s murder: 12 detained, but no major breakthrough yet

Bihar police have picked up 12 suspects in connection with the murder of industrialist Gopal Khemka for interrogation, Director General of Police (DGP) Vinay Kumar said on Monday.
Even though, according to police, no major breakthrough was achieved in the case till late on Monday.
The police, according to DGP, have also recovered from the Beur Jail in Patana and they are suspected to have been used by the plotters of the Killing.
Meanwhile, the pressure on the police is mounting because the state government is pushing state police to solve the case in order to avoid public backlash and the Opposition is targeting the government for deteriorating law and order. The brazen murder of an ace businessman in the heart of capital Patna has thus become a challenge for the police.
DGP Kumar said that the police would soon crack the case. “The investigation is going on from all possible angles. The mobiles recovered from the Beur Jail in Patna during raid and they are being examined and we hope to get some clues to catch the culprits soon,” he added.
