letters@hindustantimes.com BHUBANESWAR/KARNAL/ AHMEDABAD/GURUGRAM/ KOCHI/THANE: Family members of the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack on Wednesday hailed India's strike on nine terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

The widow of Prashant Satpathy, one of the 26 victims of the April 22 attack, the worst strike on civilians in India in nearly two decades, welcomed Operation Sindoor and said she felt grateful to the Indian government and the Army.

"They took my husband on a Tuesday. We hit back on a Tuesday. You killed us by asking about our religion, we attacked you by saying our religion. My husband is gone. I hope our actions will prevent similar incidents," she said.

In Gujarat, Kajal Parmar echoed this sentiment. "I'm proud of my brothers in the armed forces, who feel the pain and sorrow of their sisters' sin-door being wiped away by this tragedy and are driven to fight for justice," said Kajal Parmar, widow of Yatishbhai Parmar and mother of 17-year-old Smit Parmar, both killed in the strike.

Kajal Parmar added that the attack took away not just her husband and son but the lives and dreams of several families and left a nation in grief. "I'm so grateful for Operation Sindoor and to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for taking swift action. They took my family, but they will not escape justice. We want these terrorists wiped off the face of the earth," she said.
