The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a charge sheet in a fraud case, where the accused allegedly duped individuals by offering them jobs in a fictitious anti-corruption unit that they tried to legitimize by issuing forged letters in the name of former chief justice of India, R M Lodha, former President Ram Nath Kovind and union minister Jitendra Singh, CBI officials familiar with the matter said, asking not to be named.
NEW DELHI:
The charge sheet names two main accused, Renginston Sales and Vincent Raju, both residents of Chennai. The federal agency has been investigating the case since 2022.
