PM inaugurates Safran aircraft engine facility

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday inaugurated the world’s largest LEAP engine Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility by Safran in Hyderabad that will be operational early next year.
The global aerospace and defence major also conducted the groundbreaking ceremony for M88 engines that power the Rafale jets.“The Indian aviation sector is going to take a new flight from now. SAFRAN's new facility will help India as a global MRO hub. This MRO facility will also create new opportunities for young people in the world of high-tech aerospace,” Modi said as he inaugurated the facility virtually.
