Rly body clears opening of broad gauge line to link Kashmir by train

The commissioner of railway safety (CRS), Northern Circle, Dinesh Chand Deshwal has authorised the opening of the newly constructed Katra-Reasi broad gauge line, paving the way to connect Kashmir Valley with the rest of the country through rail route, officials said.
JAMMU:
The CRS nod on Tuesday came nearly a week after conducting a two-day statutory inspection of the 17-km-long Katra-Reasi section, the toughest part of the 272-km Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Railway Link (USBRL).
