A team of experts working on Axiom Space's Ax-4 mission, which is set to carry group captain Shubhanshu Shukla as the first Indian in space in over four decades, kept close watch on the weather on Tuesday in preparation for Wednesday's launch.
MUMBAI:
"Weather is 85% favourable for liftoff, with teams continuing to monitor high-winds in the ascent corridor," SpaceX, which is providing the rocket and the spacecraft that will take the mission to the International Space Station, stated in a post on X.
The mission was scheduled to launch at 5:30 pm IST on Wednesday after being delayed twice—initially scheduled for May 29 before being postponed to June 8 and finally Wednesday.
