Amid row, no farewell for Himachal top cop

The Himachal Pradesh government on Saturday issued orders handing over the additional charge of the state director general of police (DGP) to senior police officer Ashok Tiwari as DGP Atul Verma superannuated without an official farewell.
SHIMLA:
State chief secretary Prabodh Saxena issued orders handing over the charge to Tiwari on Saturday, saying that he will remain in the post till further orders.
The order read, "Ashok Tiwari, IPS (HP:1993), who is Director General of the State Vigilance & Anti-Corruption Bureau, will hold the post of DGP in addition to his charge."
