According to DFS Officials, The Incident Took Place at Around 5 pm, During The Screening of The Movie Chhaava

A fire broke out inside a movie hall during a screening in Saket on Wednesday evening, Delhi Fire Services (DFS) officials said, adding that around 300 people were inside the theatre at the time, but all were evacuated safely.

According to DFS officials, the incident took place at around 5 pm, during the screening of the Bollywood movie Chhaava at a cinema hall operated by PVR at a Saket mall. Officials said a corner of the screen at auditorium number 3 caught fire, and the flames rapidly spread to the entire screen. However, the cinema goers were hurriedly but safely evacuated after the fire was first noticed.
A PVR corporate communication official told HT that an internal inquiry has been initiated into the matter to ascertain the cause behind the fire.
