Separate system for pilgrims arriving by train

Two days ahead of the Mauni Amavasya bathing, a huge surge of pilgrims is being witnessed in Mahakumbh Nagar on the Sangam banks.

MAHAKUMBH NAGAR (PRAYAGRAJ):

The Mela police has completely banned the entry of vehicles into the fair area until February 5. DIG (Mahakumbh), Vaibhav Krishna, said that except for vehicles of administrative, medical and security personnel, entry of all others has been banned in the Mahakumbh Mela area from 8 pm on January 26 to 8 am on February 5 or until the rush of crowd ends.

The Mela police and administration have built bathing ghats for devotees to take a holy dip just 2km to 3 km away from the parking places.

Jaunpur route If pilgrims are coming by private vehicles for a dip from Jaunpur route, then they will get the facility to park vehicles at multiple parking places set up before reaching the city. As soon as they move ahead from Sahson intersection, they will find Rawai Garapur trisection. They will be able to park at Garapur Road Sugar Mill Parking. Further, they will have to reach Old GT Sangam Ghat Sector number 5 on foot from Pure Suredas after parking vehicles at Badra Sonaunti North-South Parking and Samaya Mai Parking site.

Varanasi route Those coming from Varanasi route will get access to Hanumanganj Habusa turning and pass Kanihar turning, Kanihar underpass near Chamanganj and reach Ustapur parking. From here they will be able to go to Airavat Sangam Ghat on foot but may have to walk up to 7 km.

Mirzapur route Vehicles coming from Mirzapur will come to Rajju Bhaiya City Parking, Tent City Parking, University Saraswati Hi-Tech Parking and Omaxe Parking sites. From here the pilgrims will be able to go straight to Arail Sangam Ghat on foot and take a bath.
