Haryana asks Centre to let CBI probe death of ex-Punjab DGP’s son: Official

The Haryana government has urged the Centre to order a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the alleged murder of the son of former Punjab director general of police (DGP) Mohammad Mustafa and former Congress minister Razia Sultana, people familiar with the matter said on Thursday.
Mustafa and his wife Sultana were booked by Haryana Police on October 20 on charges of murder in connection with the death of their 35-year-old son Aqil Akhtar, who was found dead at his residence in Hary-
ana’s Panchkula on October 16. Also booked in the case are Akhtar's wife and sister.
