Election for One Seat of Standing Panel of MCD on May 21

The process for elections to fill vacant positions in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi's (MCD) high-powered standing committee has begun, and the election for one of the vacant positions is scheduled for May 21, officials said.
NEW DELHI:
The particular seat became vacant after Gajendra Daral, former standing committee member and councillor from Mundka Ward, won the assembly election. The non-formation of the standing committee — a key panel which oversees finances of the MCD — has led to a policy paralysis in MCD over the last two and a half years.
