Bihar RJD MLA flees before raids; police seize cash, documents

A joint team of Bihar special task force (STF) and Patna police on Friday conducted searches at multiple locations linked to RJD legislator Ritlal Yadav and his close aides, as part of an investigation into an extortion case, officers said, adding the MLA was absconding.
PATNA:
A senior police officer said that the team recovered more than ₹10 lakh in cash, cheques of ₹77 lakh, six blank cheques, 14 deeds related to sale and purchase of properties and 17 chequebooks during the raids at 11 places in Danapur and other localities in state capital, including Yadav's house in Kothwan.
