NEW DELHI: in what investigators said was likely the fallout of a bitter rivalry with Kapil Sangwan, another notorious criminal.

The incident took place around 7.30 am in Nangal Thakran Village near Bawana. The victim, Deepak Thakran, was out for a walk with his daughter, Ananya, who suffered minor injuries when the two suspects opened fire and mother, Deputy commissioner of police (outer-north) Hareshwar V Swami said a first information report (FIR) was filed under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita pertaining to murder.

"The matter is being investigated," he said. No arrests were made in the case till the time of going to print.
