Raj anti-conversion bill tabled in House

The Rajasthan government introduced the Rajasthan Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Bill, 2025 in the state assembly on Monday, seeking to make fraudulent conversions a non-bailable offence that can be punished by imprisonment between one and 10 years.
JAIPUR:
If it is passed, Rajasthan will become the 10th Indian state to have an anti-conversion law. The bill was introduced by health minister Gajendra Singh Khinvsar in the Rajasthan assembly. Arunachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh have passed similar laws.
