Two people, including the vice-president of the National Students' Union of India (NSUI), died when their car rammed into a divider and overturned on National Highway 66 on Wednesday, police said.
BELAGAVI: Two people, including the vice-president of the National Students' Union of India (NSUI), died when their car rammed into a divider and overturned on National Highway 66 on Wednesday, police said.
"The incident took place near Jappina Mogaru town. The victims' car, coming from Tokkottu towards Mangaluru, was over-speeding when it reportedly rammed into a divider and overturned, causing the vehicle to be flung to the opposite side of the highway. While two people died, three others sustained minor injuries," said Sudheer Kumar, Mangaluru police commissioner.
