Snowfall recorded at higher reaches of Himachal, more likely today: MeT

Isolated places in higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh received snowfall while moderate rains lashed parts of the state, the India Meteorological Department's (IMD) Shimla office said on Sunday.

The wet spell will continue in the hill state till Friday, barring Tuesday, it said.
Light rain and snowfall is likely at isolated places on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in the districts of Lahaul-Spiti and Kinnaur and over the higher reaches of Chamba, Kangra and Kullu.
Dry weather is likely to prevail over the state on Tuesday and later on Saturday, MeT department officials said.
During the last 24 hours, the highest snowfall of 27.5 cm was recorded in Kothi followed by 15 cm in Gondla, 5 cm in Khadrala, 4.8 cm in Kukumseri, 4.0 cm each in Kalpa and Keylong and 3.4 cm snowfall was recorded in Sangla.
Meanwhile, Manali recorded the highest rainfall of 65 mm followed by 45.6 mm in Bhuntar, 44 mm in Kasol, 42 mm in Seobagh, 34 mm in Kothi, 30 mm each in Pandoh and Rohru, 24.2 mm in Sundernagar and 18 mm rainfall was recorded in Jogindernagar.
While 16.4 mm rainfall was recorded in Mandi, Kufri recorded 15 cm, Jubberhatti recorded 12 mm rainfall followed by 10.4 mm in Bilaspur.
