2 more aspirants die by suicide in Kota; 6 this yr

Two students, one preparing for the National Entrance Eligibility Test (NEET) to get into medical school and the other for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) to join an engineering college, died by suicide in a span of three hours in Kota district in Rajasthan on Wednesday, taking the toll of such cases in the area to six this year, officials said.

BELAGAVI: Ten people died and 15 others were injured in a road accident in Yallapur taluk of Uttara Kannada district early Wednesday morning when a truck carrying vegetables and fruits collided with an unidentified vehicle and plunged into a gorge.

Superintendent of police M Narayan stated that the truck, overloaded with produce, rear-ended a large vehicle before veering off the road and crashing into a pit.

"The deceased and injured were travelling on top of the vegetables. The truck toppled, crushing several passengers under its weight," he said.
