Refuse collector crushed by lorry named at inquest

A 28-YEAR-OLD man who was crushed between his lorry and a wall has been named at an inquest.

The brief hearing, which took place on June 9 at Exeter County Hall, saw the coroner identify Sam Evans, who died following the incident on Higher Warberry Road, Torquay, on May 27.

During the short hearing, the coroner noted that Mr Evans was born in Slough and lived in Newton Road, Torquay.

It was stated that police and paramedics were called to a road traffic collision where a man was reported to be trapped between a vehicle and a wall.

The man was identified as Mr Evans. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
