Gulls ready to sign one more to add to quality

TORQUAY United are expected to make one more signing this week - with hopes of an experienced player heading to Plainmoor in time for the visit of Newport County on Saturday.

Torquay played their first preseason friendly on a hot day at Buckland Athletic last weekend - winning 3-0 in front of a crowd of 1,208.

But the rumour mill was in overdrive at the game that another 'big' player would be signing for the club on Monday - following hot on the heels of the signing of the former Yeovil Town midfielder Sonny Blu Lo-Everton last week.

However, Herald Sport now understands there is now unlikely to be any announcement until the end of this week.

Manager Paul Wotton gave 27 players a run out at Buckland, and it was in the first half that all three goals were scored - with Dylan Morgan getting two and Jordan Young one from the penalty spot.
