UK court fines former Pakistan army officer in defamation case

The UK High Court on Thursday fined famous YouTuber and former Pakistan army officer retired Major Adil Farooq Raja in a defamation case filed by Brig (retd) Rashid Naseer and ordered him to pay Rs130 million as fine and litigation expenses to the petitioner.
The court imposed a fine of £50,000 (around Rs20 million) on Raja and ordered him to pay Naseer another £300,000 (around Rs110m) being the court expenses.
Raja had also served in the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) during his military service. He had quietly left Pakistan and gone to Britain after the ouster of the Imran Khan government. He was a great supporter of Imran Khan and used to attack everyone opposed to Imran Khan.
