Sharjah Charity builds 16 complexes in 8 countries

The Sharjah Charity Association has completed 16 charitable complexes in several countries covered by its external aid programmes during the first half of 2025, at a cost of Dhs6.7 million.

Khaled Hassan Al Ali, Director of External Projects Management, stated that these complexes are implemented as integrated projects according to the wishes of donors.

The projects include several service facilities which contribute to improving people's lives.

Each complex comprises a mosque, a school for children deprived of education, a well providing clean drinking water, and housing for the imam and teachers to keep them close to the village residents, he added.

Al Ali noted that these complexes are distributed across several countries, including 7 in Bangladesh, 2 in the Philippines, 2 in Egypt, and one each in Indonesia, Burkina Faso, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, and Kenya.

He added that the complexes have significantly eased the burden on village residents as children now have a nearby school to learn in, instead of travelling long distances to distant villages and women can also find clean water from nearby wells.

Al Ali explained that donors wishing to build a service complex can apply through the association's website, where the process is completed quickly within seconds.
