RTA auction for number plates draws Dhs98 million

The 119th open auction for exclusive vehicle number plates organised by Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) on Saturday, 27 September, generated total revenues of Dhs97.95 million.

The super plate (BB 88) secured the highest bid at Dhs14 million, followed by plate (Y 31) at Dhs6.27 million, plate (M 78) at Dhs6 million, and plate (BB 777), which also sold for Dhs6 million.
Held at the Grand Hyatt Dubai Hotel, the auction featured 90 premium number plates with two, three, four, and five digits across the codes AA, BB, K, L, M, N, P, Q, T, U, V, W, X, Y, and Z. Among the highlights were the super plates (BB 88) and (BB 777).
