Mushahid sees positive shift in US policy towards Pakistan

Senior politician Syed Mushahid Hussain has emphasised a positive shift in US policy towards Pakistan, according to a report.
However, he avoided a direct response to a question about his previous prediction that Trump would intervene for the release of jailed former prime minister Imran Khan. The former senator addressed the evolving dynamics between the US and Pakistan, especially in the light of President Trump's praise for Pakistan’s role in counter-terrorism efforts. He noted that Trump's State of the Union speech, which highlighted Pakistan's efforts in capturing terrorists related to the Kabul attack, was significant for several reasons.
