Kerala unveils new initiative to attract holidaymakers

Kerala has introduced a new tourism policy initiative aimed at attracting more tourists and investments over the next five years.

A document released on Saturday outlines strategies to enhance infrastructure support, ensuring that travellers can visit year-round while promoting sustainable and environmentally friendly practices.
One of the key initiatives in the policy is the concept of tourism villages with unique beauty and cultural significance. Each district will identify its own tourism initiatives.
The document also contains a ‘Beyond Design Policy,’ which aims to go beyond existing guidelines for the layout of tourism destinations.
