Dubai hailed for success of Women's Triathlon WC

Dubai received high-level international recognition following the successful staging of the inaugural Women's Triathlon World Cup, the first global event of its kind dedicated exclusively to female athletes.

The championship was organised by the Dubai Sports Council as part of the Sheikha Hind Sports Initiative and within the framework of the Dubai Sports Plan 2033, under the supervision of the World Triathlon (TRI) and in cooperation with the UAE Triathlon Federation.

The event attracted wide international participation from multiple continents, marking a significant milestone in the history of women’s triathlon worldwide and reinforcing Dubai’s position as a leading host of major international sporting events.

Antonio Arimany, President of the World Triathlon, praised the championship's professional organization, describing it as “a historic achievement for triathlon and for women’s sport in the region.”
