Campaigning ends in Nilambur, vote tomorrow; UDF win likely

Yet another opinion poll has predicted an easy win for Kerala's opposition Congress party-led United Democratic Front (UDF) in the Nilambur by-election as public campaigning ended on Tuesday.
Nilambur votes along with four other assembly constituencies, where by-elections are held on Thursday. The ballots will be counted on Monday.
Congress party’s Aryadan Shoukath is pitted against the ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF) candidate M. Swaraj, fielded by the Communist Party of India (Marxist), which leads the LDF.
Former legislator PV Anvar, who quit the LDF, necessitating the by-election, Mohan George, fielded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Social Democratic Party of India’s (SDPI) Sadiq Naduthodi are also in the fray.
