Watch Pink Moon rise in Dubai desert on Sunday

Special viewing programme in Al Qudra

On the evening of Sunday, April 13, stargazers across the UAE will be treated to the Pink Moon, the first full moon of spring.

The Dubai Astronomy Group (DAG) has invited the public to a magical evening under the stars with a desert stargazing experience in Al Qudra. The DAG’s public event will be held from 6:pm to 9pm.

Astronomically, the Pink Moon is no different in colour than any other full moon, but its cultural significance, timing with the changing seasons, and its nickname make it a celebrated moment around the world.
