Dubai to build 17,000 affordable homes

QUALITY HOUSING TO BE PROVIDED TO ALL INCOME LEVELS

In a major push to expand inclusive urban living, Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Municipality and Wasl Group signed an agreement to build over 17,000 affordable homes in key areas of the emirate.

Shaikh Hamdan Bin Moham-mad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, witnessed the signing.

The agreement was signed by Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of RTA's Board of Executive Directors, and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Urban Planning; Marwan Bin Ghalita, Director-General of Dubai Municipality, and Hesham Abdulla Al Qassim, CEO of Wasl Group, who signed on behalf of Dubai Real Estate Corporation (DREC).
