TRIBUTE TO MAGICAL NIGHTS OUT
MEMORIES of magical nights at The Winter Gardens in Cleethorpes have been rekindled thanks to a new homegrown brew.
Melody Night at the venue became internationally-famous and became known as Bags Ball.
Now Grimsby brewer Docks Beers have paid homage to the night out by bringing together a unique blend of ingredients to add to the treasured memories of a night at The Winter Gardens. You can even buy a T-shirt with The Winter Gardens on it.
The Winter Gardens opened in 1934 and welcomed huge names in the music industry, Sex Pistols, The Clash, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Dexy's Midnight Runners and Elton John. It closed in 2007 and was demolished six years later by Louth firm GBM to make way for a £3.5 million housing development.
