DOORS ARE OPEN TO EVERYONE

EMPOWERING individuals, families and communities to thrive is the aim of Grimsby's Centre4.
Based in the heart of the town, their doors are open to everyone, whether you're looking for a place to enjoy a hot drink, hold a meeting, host an event, or access one of their many services and there are free classes available to all.
Callum Johnson, marketing and communications lead, said: "We have come a long way from 30 years ago when we were just a small setup.
"Around 1,000 people a week walk through our doors now, that's everything from our exercise sessions, link worker appointments through to social prescribing or they've come for a meeting.
"We are based on the Nunsthorpe but here for all North East Lincolnshire. Anybody can walk through the doors and we will help them.
"We have people that rely on us as a trusted source, they feel safe, they feel comfortable with us and they will come in and we will support them.
"We offer advice, benefit checks, support with long term health conditions through social prescribing and we have family support as well as Butterflies Day Nursery and a Community Gym.
"We have our Later In Life project which supports over 59s who are lonely and socially isolated, they have a community connector who supports and works with them so we really try and support everybody."
He explained: "All of our classes are completely free, we try to remove as many barriers as possible so no need to book either.
"We often see a lot of the groups grabbing a coffee afterwards, they take time to socialise and connect, making new friendships.
