Pair return to City as Williams clinches trio of signings
Gloucester Citizen
|June 05, 2025
GLOUCESTER City have completed three new signings ahead of the new season, with former players Keiran Thomas and Sion Spence returning to the club, and the arrival of former Tiverton Town man Dylan Jones.
-
Tough-tackling right-back Thomas joined City from Cinderford Town in 2016, having captained his home-town club to the Southern League Division One South & West title under former City coach John Brough.
He spent two seasons with the Tigers, playing alongside younger brother Luke during a loan spell for the winger from Derby County.
Keiran, 29, left City for Hereford in 2018, spending two years at Edgar Street before joining Weston, who he helped win the Southern League Premier South title in 2022/23.
Thomas, who can also play in the centre of midfield, had earlier progressed through Cheltenham Town’s academy, completing a two-year scholarship before leaving in 2013.
In his first City spell, he made 80 appearances and on his return to the club, Thomas said: “It didn’t take much for me to decide to come back after I spoke to Daf about what his ambitions were.
