Man who stamped on woman before punching her is jailed

A MAN who stamped on the head of a woman before punching her had been jailed. Redwan Karim, of Regent Street, Gloucester, punched his victim so hard her eardrums burst during the attack in the woman's home on July 30, 2024.

The court heard how Karim visited the woman at her address in the early hours of the morning. He took her in a taxi to a hotel in Cheltenham where he physically assaulted her later that morning.

The 31-year-old grabbed the victim by her hair. As she pushed him away from her, she fell to the floor and Karim stamped on her head with significant force. He then proceeded to punch her, perforating both her eardrums.

After leaving the hotel, they returned to Karim’s car in Gloucester. During the car ride, Karim grabbed the victim's hair once again. The victim left the car to walk to her mother’s house, but Karim was already waiting outside. He grabbed at the victim's clothing as she got into the car, while reversing away.
