Imizamo Yethu High School's U17 boys were crowned the Herald Gym Fitness champions after edging out George Royal Academy 6-5 on penalties in a thrilling final at Thembalethu Stadium on Saturday 27 September.

The Academy boys dominated with early possession. Luzuko Blekiwe struck first for Imizamo Yethu, firing past Weldon Koen to make it 1-0.

The lead was short-lived, however, as Imizamo Yethu conceded a penalty after a reckless challenge. Sange Manzi stepped up for the Academy and calmly levelled matters to 1-1 before halftime.
